New Hobbies?

Mom has been nagging me about my lack of extra-curricular activities, so I decided to devote some of my allotted computer time to this new blog. Sorry, Facebook! I've spent most of the day watching old movies, and perusing around DTOP. In Borders, we picked out two books about Rome. I cannot wait for the summer to be here!
I've told mom that I'll handle the planning as long as her credit card is ready to be used! I think Med Camp and Europe will definitely beat Wisconsin this summer. Seven weeks in the Cheese State, or three weeks in Europe along with 10 days of Med School? I can tell I'm making the right choice with this one!
Let's hope I can manage another semester of tests, quizzes, and essays so that I can make it to the warm weather! Chicago seems like it's finally starting to warm up, but if there's one thing I've learned from living in the Midwest is never to expect winter's over quite so soon... Yesterday I think we reached nearly 45 degrees, which may seem numbingly cold to Floridians and other warm-blooded folk, but to me it was a first glimpse at spring weather! My friends and I walked around OP with no coats and short sleeves. Once you've dealt with negative degree weather, anything over 32 seems great.
The rest of today seems like it will consist of homework, soccer games, dancing around to Corin Bailey Ray, and of course, time with Jess. Let's hope I can stick to this new blog, at least until the temperature hits eighty! I must say, that seems impossible right now, while I'm looking out the window to snowy grounds and naked trees.
